Our Mission

The Montessori Schoolhouse mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and peaceful environment for children of all abilities and backgrounds. The school works in partnership with parents to encourage the growth of developmental skills, curiosity, and the exploration of the potential of each child. Promoting the principles and methodology of Dr. Maria Montessori, the Schoolhouse aims to create a place where children are able to discover the joy and beauty of learning.

The Montessori Schoolhouse was founded in 1989 by a group of parents who wanted to provide the best educational experience for their children.

Today, we continue to be a non-profit school with a volunteer board of directors, who’s main goal is to continue providing the Monadnock region with the highest quality Montessori preschool and toddler educational programs.

Our scholarship program supports our commitment to ensure opportunities for children from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We are also a licensed childcare center with the State of New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human services.
