Kathy Glimenakis, Toddler Director
As one of the original school founders (1989), Kathy has been part of MSH since its inception, first on the Board of Directors and then as the Toddler Director for the past 15 years. Prior to becoming a teacher, she graduated from the Western Massachusetts School of Nursing in 1980 and worked as a nurse at Holyoke Hospital for six years before moving to NH. Kathy received her infant/toddler training from the Northeast Montessori Institute in 2000. Her love of the Montessori Method began when her daughter was enrolled at a Montessori school and they couldn’t keep her out of the classroom. Her interests include travel, reading, walking, and films.

Debi completed her Montessori primary teaching credentials at the National Center for Montessori Education—New England in 1999 and became a head teacher at HMS. After moving to Peterborough, NH, she worked as center director at a traditional early childhood center and completed her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Stacie Hixson, Aftercare Director
Stacie has been at MSH since 1992, and she received her master's degree in Special Education from Keene State College in 1984. Stacie enjoys reading, nature walks, snowshoeing, beachcombing for sea glass, poking around antique shops, and nature photography. Stacie loves seeing a child’s eyes light up when they suddenly understand something you are working on with them. Her advice to parents is to take the time to see things through the eyes of a child—play with them, listen to them, and marvel in the wonders of the world around you with them.
Joyce Streeter, Aftercare Assistant
Joyce was attracted to the Montessori philosophy because she likes how the children learn at their own pace. She particularly enjoys the materials in Practical Life because the children learn so much about how to do their activities. Joyce finds it rewarding when children tell her that they can do something new, like writing their name for the first time. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and crocheting.
